Walk-off Seals Win For Jameson’s Pub Against Joliet Technologies
A walk-off left Joliet Technologies on the wrong end of a 17-16 defeat to Jameson’s Pub on Wednesday. The game was tied at 16 with Jameson’s Pub batting in the bottom of the seventh when #34 singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Jim Vidican collected four hits in defeat. Vidican singled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the fourth, and singled in the seventh.
Joliet Technologies got on the board in the first inning when Vidican singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
In the top of the sixth inning, Joliet Technologies tied things up at 16. Troy Perkins drove in one when he singled.
Jameson’s Pub scored eight runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by Jameson’s Pub was led by Mot, Kitchell, Kitch, Tini, #34, and Blue Wht, all driving in runs in the frame.
John Gierich started the game for Joliet Technologies. He went six innings, allowing 17 runs on 27 hits and striking out one.
Joliet Technologies collected 30 hits on the day. Dan Steinhouse, Gierich, Ken Gierich, Vidican, Justin Gierich, Mark Bew, Sean Stukel, Josh Kelly, and Perkins all had multiple hits for Joliet Technologies. Gierich, Vidican, Gierich, Gierich, and Steinhouse each collected four hits to lead Joliet Technologies. Joliet Technologies was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error.
